I really believe that putting the students first, responding to their wish and making them comfortable is the best way to success. Indeed, to learn efficiently, people need to be in a friendly environment and to feel that the person facing  them is there to help them and not to annoy them. That is why our system is based on flexibility. Flexibility in time, space and, the most important, in the subjects we teach and the way we teach them. Do you prefer learning by  reading, listening or writing ? Do you want  homework to be able to practice between your lessons ? All what you need to do is to tell that to me during our  first meeting.

I also think that the best way to learn French is to be totally immersed in a French  environment. That is why as soon as my students have the minimum level required, I will tend  to speak only in French with them, because, even if it does not seem obvious to everybody, we  do not need translation to make someone understand a foreign word ; we can use mime,  drawing  for example in order to make the learner guess. And this method of teaching is known  as the most efficient. Indeed, it reproduces the way a child learn his mother-tongue : by listening  and reproducing things, by understanding words thanks to a context, by hearing again and  again  the same words.
