5 essential advices to improve your French.

Most of the people make the same mistakes while learning a language. These mistakes can prevent you from improving your level, that is why French Lessons London's staff wants to help you to point these mistakes and give you some basic advices to improve quickly your level in French.

• Never use online translators. These websites do not give you manual translations. Indeed the translation is made by a computer, that does not take into account neither grammar nor the different meanings of one word. This is word by word translation and everybody knows that this is the worse way to go from a language to another. That is why you have to use dictionaries to help you.

• When it comes to dictionary, make sure that you are picking the right foreign word from the different possibilities the dictionary gives you. So make sure that you double check the word you want to use in the French and English parts of the dictionary.
• You have to try not to think in English when you want to write or speak French because it will result in non sense or wrong grammar or word's order.
• Read French book or newspapers (easy to find online) : that is the best way to learn new words or new type of sentences without going through the boring learning-by-heart process. You can also listen to French radio, watch French movies etc...
• Make sure that you practice your French everyday through any means : reading, speaking, learning few new words.
